Virtual Gallery of Living Souvenirs is a project aiming at saving from forgetting the history of Poland and Poles, mainly from the period of World War II and post-war years. Souvenirs presented on the site constitute a diverse collection of materials gathered by members and volunteers of the Odra-Niemen Association for over 10 years. Souvenirs and accounts of witnesses to history were recorded during the implementation of the Association’s tasks both at home and abroad, including in Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine or New Zealand.
In our collection you will find photos and scans of documents, photographs, decorations, works of art, weapons, and interviews with representatives of veterans, Siberian, Polish and Solidarity communities and their relatives.
The collected souvenirs are also a record of our memories related to travels in the footsteps of Polish history and its heroes.
The project was financed with funds of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2018
